Terms & Conditions
Crawley Gatwick Cars is set out to provide an immaculate tailored service, keeping in mind to be reasonable and fair to our customers.
Important Notice
We accept passengers, luggage and personal items only upon the conditions set out below. No one is allowed to alter these conditions unless it is provided in writing by the director or the operator. In any case any of these conditions are incompatible this will result in the contract being void.
Contractual Relations
The Carrier, who is the Licensed Operator, shall enter into a contractual obligation as principal with the Customer making the private hire booking to provide the journey which is the subject of the booking and any such contractual obligation is consistent with the Private Hire Vehicles (London) Act 1998.
Waiting Time
All bookings are subject to 40 minutes waiting time free of charge. Thereafter the carrier reserves the right to charge £5 every 15 minutes. We can only advise approximate travel time and the passenger must leave sufficient time to arrive at destinations.
Charges
Additional charges may apply over Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year as a 50% surcharge. Please check the booking office for more details. Charges remain constant 24 hours a day.
Insurance Coverage
All our vehicles are insured for both drivers and passengers. In case of breakdowns during the journey, the company will endeavor to arrange an alternative car as soon as possible.
Loss of Passenger's Luggage
The passenger is responsible for luggage and personal items during loading and unloading. The carrier is not responsible at any time for loss of personal items or luggage.
Right of Driver to Refuse Carriage
The driver is responsible for passenger safety. Any passengers whose behavior seems to be drunken, abusive, threatening, or in breach of regulations may be refused boarding or removed.
Missed Flights
Crawley Gatwick Cars does not accept responsibility for missed flights or trains due to traffic delays, breakdowns, severe weather, or unforeseen circumstances.
Safety Requirements
Passengers must not require the driver to break any Road Traffic Acts or EU driver regulations. Seatbelts must be worn at all times.
Minors Policy
The Carrier will not carry any unaccompanied children under 14 years of age.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made at least 6 hours prior to the journey. Otherwise, no refund will be offered.
Amendments
Amendments should be made via email or telephone. No changes made directly to the driver will be valid. Once confirmed, amendments will be acknowledged by email.
Re-booking
All bookings should be made via email, website, or telephone.
Complaints Procedure
Complaints should be raised via email within 30 days of service. Calls may be recorded for quality and training purposes.
Payment & Transactions
All payments are made to the driver after the completion of the journey. Crawley Gatwick Cars is a licensed private hire operator in London and accepts responsibility as required by regulations.
